Art is Good Medicine

Art Is Good Med Pic Horiz

Art is Good Medicine is an Arts in Healthcare program in partnership with local healthcare providers such as ECU Health. Professional visual artists work with adult and pediatric cancer patients and survivors. Through the arts, patients, survivors, and their caregivers can begin to cope with their challenge. In addition, Emerge Gallery and Art Center, Home of the Pitt County Arts Council, offers free adult workshops to anyone affected by cancer including patients, survivors, family members, and caregivers over the age of 16.

Additional Workshop Information

  • All students and instructors are required to wear a face mask in classroom settings.
  • Emerge asks that if anyone in your household is sick or showing signs of becoming sick, that you do not attend class.
  • Individuals requesting accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) should contact the Programs Director at paula@emergegallery.com prior to the start of class.
